Super Falcons Head Coach Justine Madugu has announced a 25-player squad for Nigeria’s forthcoming international friendlies against the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon in Yaoundé.
Leading the list is team captain Rasheedat Ajibade, alongside first-choice goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie and attacking options Esther Okoronkwo and Chinwendu Ihezuo.
Experienced midfielder Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene returns to the national team after a lengthy absence, while forward Gift Monday is back in the fold after missing Nigeria’s victorious campaign at the last Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
There is also a first invitation for England-based goalkeeper Comfort Erhabor, while defender Chidinma Okeke earns a recall. Tanzania-based midfielder Precious Christopher receives her maiden call-up to the senior team.
Regulars including Osinachi Ohale, Michelle Alozie, Oluwatosin Demehin, Ashleigh Plumptre, Halimatu Ayinde, Christy Ucheibe, Deborah Abiodun, Jennifer Echegini, Rinsola Babajide and Folashade Ijamilusi have retained their places in the squad.
The two friendly matches are scheduled for February 28 and March 3 in Yaoundé.
The encounters will serve as part of Nigeria’s preparations for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The Super Falcons have been drawn in Group C alongside Malawi, Zambia and Egypt for the continental showpiece, which will be staged in Morocco from March 17 to April 3, 2026.
The top four teams at the tournament will secure automatic qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Brazil.
