Uganda Cranes captain Khalid Aucho has spoken out after his suspension by Tanzanian club Singida Black Stars.
The club confirmed a three-month suspension for Aucho over misconduct and absenteeism from duty.
“I have always carried myself with professionalism throughout my career, representing every club with respect and discipline. In all my years in football, I have never been involved in any case of indiscipline because I understand the responsibility that comes with being a professional player.
“To my beloved fans who have always stood by me, this situation will come to pass. Thank you for your continued support.”
Meanwhile, the club has also suspended goalkeeper Amas Obasogie for three months as investigations into alleged match-fixing continue.
