Mighty Wanderers FC’s goal-minder Dalitso Khungwa has earned nomination for the 2025 Men’s Player of the Year Award.
According to the Football Association of Malawi (FAM), Khungwa is amongst the list of three players recognized for being outstanding across all elite competitions.
“Khungwa enjoyed an outstanding 2025 season, recording 17 clean sheets in the TNM Super League. Across all elite competitions, he registered 22 clean sheets, the highest tally by any goalkeeper, underlining his consistency and dominance between the posts,” reads the statement in part.
The Nomads’ shot-stopper will compete with Babatunde Adepoju and Chikumbutso Salima. The awards gala has been slated for 6th March 2026 at the COMESA Hall in Blantyre.
