Former Ghana national football team goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim has thrown his full support behind fellow shot-stopper Benjamin Asare ahead of Ghana’s upcoming tournament, choosing prayer over advice as a mark of respect.
Danlad, who previously represented the Black Stars, emphasized the seniority of Asare and noted that it would be inappropriate for him to offer guidance.
“Benjamin Asare is my senior, so it wouldn’t be right for me to advise him. I can only seek God’s luck, favour, and strength for him to protect him from any disgrace or injuries,” Danlad said.
The former goalkeeper expressed deep admiration for Asare’s professionalism, both on and off the field, highlighting his conduct as exemplary.
“I really admire his conduct both on and off the pitch, and I pray that he performs exceptionally well for Ghana in the tournament,” he added.
Danlad’s remarks reflect a strong sense of unity and mutual respect within Ghana’s goalkeeping fraternity, as the nation rallies behind the Black Stars in their quest for success.
As preparations intensify for the tournament, supporters will be hoping Asare can justify the confidence placed in him and deliver commanding performances between the posts for Ghana.
