African Stars Shine as Gaziantep Thrash Antalyaspor in Turkish Süper Lig

African players played a decisive role as Gaziantep F.K. secured an emphatic 4–1 victory over Antalyaspor in Round 26 of the Turkish Süper Lig on Friday.

The standout performer was Guinean forward Mohamed Bayo, who delivered a clinical brace in the second half to help Gaziantep take full control of the contest. Bayo struck his first goal in the 59th minute before adding his second in the 76th minute, putting the visitors firmly in command.

Gaziantep’s attacking momentum continued when Polish midfielder Kacper Kozłowski added another goal in the 65th minute, converting a chance created by Suriname international Leo Abena.

African influence remained evident as Ivorian midfielder Drissa Camara extended Gaziantep’s advantage in the 82nd minute after being set up by Bayo, capping a dominant attacking display.

Antalyaspor managed a late consolation goal in stoppage time through Ramzi Safuri, but it did little to change the outcome as Gaziantep completed a commanding away performance.

The victory highlights the growing impact of African talent in the Turkish top flight, with Bayo’s two goals and Camara’s strike proving crucial in Gaziantep’s convincing triumph.
