This is a major boost for Ivory Coast, as talented midfielder Kader Meïté trained at Stade Rennais and now playing for Al-Hilal has officially switched his sporting nationality.

Although he recently impressed by being called up to the French U-21 national team, the young player, born in 2007, has decided to wear the Elephants jersey.

This shift marks a major turning point for the Ivorian national team, which has thus secured one of the most promising talents of his generation, capable of bringing creativity and technical maturity already noted in Saudi Arabia.

This move to the orange, white, and green jersey will, however, involve a slight administrative transition.

Due to a late submission of documents to the Ivorian Football Federation (FIF), Kader Meïté will not immediately join the senior team.

He will begin his international career with the Ivorian U-21 team, a step that will allow him to adapt to the national playing system before knocking on the doors of the senior squad.
