Award season may have wrapped and fashion month taken its final bow—for now—but style never really clocks out. In fact, the in-between moments often reveal more about a man’s personal style than the red carpet ever could. Without the pressure of flashbulbs and formal dress codes, the past week offered a lineup of men stepping out in street style looks that were intentional, expressive, and, more importantly, grounded in real-world wearability.

From opening nights in New York City to the now-ritualized pregame tunnel walks, moments that have effectively become fashion runways in their own right, and even off-field appearances that blur into cultural milestones, there was no shortage of reasons to get dressed. Add to that a luxury boutique unveiling and a headline-making literary milestone, and the result was a week that proved style thrives wherever presence is required.

At the same time, the calendar itself offered the perfect backdrop. As winter began to loosen its grip and spring quietly emerged, these men embraced transitional dressing with confidence. Jackets, in particular, became last week’s defining statement. Fabrics moved more freely, proportions shifted, and each look carried a sense of ease—signaling the arrival of a new season without entirely letting go of the old.

The Looks

Leading the charge was Lewis Hamilton, who made a striking appearance at the opening of Ferrari’s new boutique in London. Dressed in a refined monochromatic ensemble, he demonstrated his signature balance of precision and ease. A sleek black turtleneck was tucked into high-waisted tailored trousers, cinched with a minimalist belt to create a clean, elongated silhouette. Layered over it, a flowing kimono-style coat introduced both structure and movement, subtly elevating the look. Polished black leather shoes anchored the outfit, while his neatly braided hair and groomed facial hair added a personal, contemporary finish. Altogether, the look balanced sharp tailoring with relaxed sophistication.

Meanwhile, Jalen Hurts stepped out to celebrate his children’s book Better Than a Touchdown, now a New York Times No. 1 bestseller, in a look that felt equally polished yet approachable. Wearing Coach, he leaned into rich, tactile layering. A brown leather overcoat draped over a soft neutral knit created a warm, composed upper half. In contrast, relaxed, slightly cropped denim introduced a modern edge, preventing the look from feeling overly formal. Finished with classic dark leather loafers, the outfit struck a thoughtful balance between sophistication and accessibility, perfectly mirroring the significance of the moment.

In New York City, Tramell Tillman, one of the season’s standout style figures, delivered a masterclass in contemporary street style with a look from Loewe. His taupe reversible leather zip-up jacket brought a soft, sculptural quality, layered over a muted inner piece to maintain tonal harmony. Wide-leg dark trousers added volume and fluidity, while suede boots in a complementary shade grounded the look with texture and depth. Oversized tinted sunglasses completed the ensemble, introducing a subtle edge while keeping the overall aesthetic rooted in modern, quiet luxury.
