Qarabağ FK forward Emmanuel Addai has declared his strong desire to represent Ghana at senior level, saying wearing the national colours would mean more to him than any individual success abroad.
Addai spoke passionately about his love for his country, revealing that childhood memories of near misses have fueled his ambition. “I really want to represent Ghana because I love my country,” he said. “I grew up watching Ghana lose finals, and I want to help bring joy to my people. I want to be remembered not just for playing abroad but for doing something meaningful for Ghana because I really love Ghana.”
The attacker, who has impressed with his performances in Azerbaijan, admitted that he has yet to receive contact from the Ghana national football team. Still, he remains calm and confident that his efforts have not gone unnoticed.
“I haven’t had any contact yet,” Addai revealed. “But I believe they’ve seen my performances. Everything happens in God’s time. I’m not in a hurry.”
His measured tone reflects both ambition and patience. For Addai, the dream is clear. He wants more than a successful club career in Europe. He wants to be part of a generation that restores pride and delivers silverware for Ghana on the international stage.
