Habib Beye, who was named coach of Marseille on February 18, was the victim of a burglary at his home on Tuesday evening.

According to reports from La Dépêche du Midi confirmed by BFM Marseille, thieves broke into Habib Beyes villa in Fuveau (Bouches-du-Rhône) on Tuesday evening while the OM coach was away.

According to preliminary findings from the investigation, they stole luxury leather goods, suitcase full of clothing and items from Louis Vuitton brand.

Fuveau Mayor Beatrice Bonfillon was informed of the incident on Wednesday morning. She will meet with municipal police officials shortly.

During his time with OM as a player between 2003 and 2007, Habib Beye was the victim of a carjacking in March 2005 at his home at the time, also located in Fuveau, according to Eurosport.

The criminals forced the OM defender to stop by placing trash containers across the road. Three hooded men had emerged from behind him in two vehicles to force him to hand over the keys to his Mercedes 500.
