Osimhen Shines with Goal and Assist in Galatasaray’s 3-1 Win Over Alanyaspor

Nigeria international Victor Osimhen delivered another match-winning performance as Galatasaray defeated Alanyaspor 3-1 at the RAMs Park on Saturday.

The Turkish champions had to dig deep to secure all three points in front of their home supporters, with Osimhen playing a decisive role in the second half.

Galatasaray started brightly and were rewarded late in the first half when Sacha Boey broke the deadlock.

The right-back finished off a well-worked move to hand the Yellow and Reds a deserved advantage heading into the break.

However, the visitors responded almost immediately after halftime.

Benin Republic forward Steve Mounié stunned the home crowd by drawing Alanyaspor level just four minutes into the second half, setting up a tense contest.

Galatasaray regained control in the 58th minute, and once again Osimhen was at the heart of the action.

The Nigerian striker turned provider, setting up Lucas Torreira, who calmly slotted home to restore the hosts’ lead.

With Alanyaspor pushing forward in search of another equaliser, Osimhen put the game beyond doubt seven minutes from time.

The prolific forward capitalised on a costly mistake from goalkeeper Paulo Victor, pouncing on a loose ball to fire home Galatasaray’s third and seal an important victory.

The goal capped a fine individual display from Osimhen, who continues to justify his status as one of the league’s most lethal forwards.

The 27-year-old has now scored 10 goals and provided four assists in 16 league appearances for Galatasaray this season, underlining his importance to the team’s title ambitions.

Saturday’s result further strengthens Galatasaray’s position in the Turkish Super Lig standings as they maintain momentum in the race for domestic honours, with Osimhen once again proving to be the difference-maker.
