Nigeria’s Super Eagles will return to action in May for another shot at Unity Cup glory, with confirmed clashes against India and Jamaica.
Led by head coach Éric Chelle, the team is set to feature in the tournament for the third straight edition, aiming to extend their dominance after lifting the last two titles.
The Unity Cup, which made a comeback in 2025 after a long hiatus dating back to 2004, has seen Nigeria reassert itself as a leading force in the competition.
In last year’s edition held in London, the Super Eagles edged past arch-rivals Ghana 2-1 in a tense semi-final encounter.
They went on to face Jamaica in the final, where both sides played out a thrilling 2-2 draw before Nigeria triumphed 5-4 in a penalty shootout to retain the trophy.
Nigeria’s history with the Unity Cup also dates back to its earlier era, with the Super Eagles winning the revived tournament’s inaugural edition in 2004.
Details regarding venues and match schedules for this year’s competition are yet to be confirmed by organisers.
The upcoming fixtures will build on Nigeria’s recent international outings in March, where they secured a 2-1 win over Iran and were held to a 2-2 draw by Jordan, offering Chelle further insight into his squad as preparations continue.
