

The Yei Joint Stars have officially reclaimed their throne, being crowned champions of the South Sudan Women’s Cup 2025-2026 after a high-stakes showdown at the Juba National Stadium.
In a final defined by grit and narrow margins, the Stars overcame a resilient Munuki FC (Munuki After Target) to lift their third trophy in the competition’s history.
The match began with intense energy, as Esther found the back of the net in the 27th minute to give Yei an early lead. However, Munuki fought back in the second half, with Sharon scoring a clinical equalizer in the 51st minute.
With the score deadlocked at 1-1 after regulation time, the championship was decided by the clinical precision of the penalty shootout.
