The Togolese Football Federation (FTF) announced on Thursday the appointment of Patrice Neveu as the new coach of the national team, after consulting several candidates with solid experience in top-level football.
After weeks of waiting, the name has finally been revealed. Patrice Neveu is the new coach of the Hawks.
According to the Togolese Football leaders, the choice of the 72 years old man is based on his technical and tactical skills, competence, experience, and strategic vision.
“This choice is the result of consulting several candidates with solid experience in top-level football. Throughout this process, competence, experience, and strategic vision were central to the evaluation of the profiles. The choice of Mr. Patrice Neveu is explained by his technical and tactical skills, his long and rich experience at the highest level, and his in-depth knowledge of the African football landscape,” stated the Togolese Football Federation.
The new national coach is expected in Lomé in the coming days to finalize the terms of his employment contract.
