Nigeria future uncertain as Chelle eyes better deal

Eric Chelle does not intend to extend his contract with the Nigerian national football team at any price.

According to Informateur.ci, the coach is now demanding a monthly salary of $130,000 to continue his adventure at the helm of the Super Eagles.

Currently earning $50,000 per month, the Malian coach is seeking a significant pay rise after leading Nigeria to third place in the last Africa Cup of Nations.

According to the same source, this salary increase is one of a total of 19 demands submitted to the Nigerian Football Federation.

Chelle is reportedly asking for greater freedom in managing the squad, tactical choices, and technical organization.

He would also like the increase to cover the salaries of his assistants.

Recently represented by the Wilders Sport agency, Eric Chelle is also seeking greater exposure, with the ambition of positioning himself for European projects in the medium term.
