Achraf Hakimi’s legal team has issued a robust statement regarding the ongoing legal proceedings, emphasizing their confidence that the upcoming trial will bring clarity and justice.
Hakimi’s lawyer, Ms. Fanny Colin, outlined what she described as serious inconsistencies in the accusation against her client. She stressed that the case rests solely on the account of a woman who, according to Colin, obstructed investigations, refused medical and DNA examinations, declined to cooperate with mobile phone searches, and withheld the identity of a key witness.
Colin added that two consecutive psychological evaluations of the accuser revealed a lack of clarity about the alleged events and no evidence of post-traumatic symptoms. She further claimed that the accuser attempted to conceal messages exchanged with a friend discussing plans to “strip” Hakimi of his assets.
“It is with determination and resolve that we await this trial so that justice may be served,” Colin said. The statement underscores the legal team’s strategy to challenge the credibility of the allegations and positions Hakimi as prepared to defend himself in court.
