Super Eagles striker Akor Adams returned to the scoresheet as Sevilla FC played out a 1–1 draw with Rayo Vallecano in their La Liga clash o,n Sunday evening.
The Nigerian forward had endured a run of games without scoring but rediscovered his finishing touch in front of the Sevilla supporters.
Adams opened the scoring in the 13th minute, calmly converting his chance to give the home side an early advantage.
Sevilla controlled large parts of the first half after taking the lead, but Rayo Vallecano improved after the break in search of an equaliser.
Their persistence paid off in the 58th minute when defender Pacha Espino found the net to level the contest.
Both teams pushed for a winning goal in the closing stages, but neither side was able to break the deadlock as the match ended in a stalemate.
While Sevilla had to settle for a single point, the evening was personally significant for Akor Adams, whose goal ended his recent scoring drought and could serve as a confidence boost as he aims to rediscover consistent form in La Liga.
