Playing in front of an energetic home crowd at the Moulay El Hassan Stadium, the defending champions controlled much of the possession and dictated the tempo for long stretches.
However, Tunisia’s organised defensive structure and quick counterattacks repeatedly frustrated the hosts.

The visitors stunned the stadium in the 27th minute when Yahya Jlidi calmly slotted home to put Tunisia ahead.
The well-taken goal handed the Carthage Eaglets a deserved advantage heading into the halftime break.
Morocco emerged for the second half with renewed intensity, pressing aggressively in search of an equaliser while Tunisia remained disciplined at the back and looked dangerous whenever they broke forward.
The breakthrough eventually arrived in the 76th minute as Ilian Hadidi produced a composed finish to restore parity and spark celebrations among the home supporters.
Morocco pushed for a late winner in the closing stages, but Tunisia stood firm under pressure to earn a valuable point from a fiercely contested North African derby in Group A.
