Aina Celebrates First Ever Premier League Player Of The Match Award

Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina has celebrated a personal milestone after claiming his first-ever Premier League Player of the Match award.

The Nigerian international received the honour following an outstanding performance in Forest’s goalless draw against Fulham F.C. at the City Ground on Sunday.

Aina was a key figure in Forest’s defence, helping the team secure a clean sheet with a series of timely interventions.

The 29-year-old made four tackles and won four duels, while also recording 10 clearances, three recoveries and an interception during the contest.

The defender nearly capped his display with a goal in the second half, but his effort struck the woodwork.

After the match, Aina shared his excitement on Snapchat, posting a photo of himself with the award alongside the caption: “1st ever one.”

So far this season, Aina has featured in 14 league matches for Nottingham Forest F.C., contributing one assist.
