Super Eagles defender Semi Ajayi has spoken of his satisfaction after returning to competitive action following an injury layoff.
The tall centre-back recently featured for Hull City in their match against Millwall FC last week, marking his return after nearly two months out of action.
Ajayi, who has gradually been rebuilding his fitness, said he is encouraged by his progress after completing his second full game since rejoining the squad.
“I’m feeling really good. That was my second full match, so it’s nice to be getting my rhythm back and I’m excited to keep contributing for the rest of the season,” he said.
The former West Bromwich Albion defender was also involved when Hull City faced his old side on Sunday as he continues to regain match sharpness.
His return strengthens Hull City’s defensive options and could also boost the prospects of the Nigeria national football team as upcoming international fixtures approach.
