After having to withdraw from the last Africa Cup of Nations, Amine Gouiri is finally expressing his relief at returning to the Algerian national team.
When asked about that painful absence, the forward made no secret of his motivation: “It’s true that this is a tournament I wanted to play in at all costs, but that’s part of soccer. Today, I’ m very happy to be back,” he said enthusiastically.
Now looking ahead, the Rennes player has set the bar high for Algeria’s upcoming matches.
