The Rwanda Football Federation has officially appointed Stephen Constantine as the new head coach of the Rwanda national football team, marking a return for the experienced manager who previously led the Amavubi.
Constantine’s appointment comes with clear objectives from the federation. The veteran tactician has been tasked with guiding Rwanda to qualification for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations while also attempting to secure the country’s first-ever appearance at the FIFA World Cup.
The English coach is no stranger to Rwandan football, having previously managed the national team and overseen one of its most successful periods. During his first spell in charge, Constantine guided Rwanda to their highest-ever position in the FIFA rankings, a milestone that raised the profile of the team on the continental stage.
With qualification campaigns approaching, the federation is hopeful that Constantine’s familiarity with the country’s football structure and his international coaching experience will help the Amavubi take a significant step forward in African football.
