The Special Adviser to the Senator Joel Onowakpo Thomas representing Delta South Senatorial District on Sports Development, and Convener of the Delta Senators U-19 Unifier Cup, Ambassador Omagufi, has lauded the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, High Chief Engr. Kestin Pondi, for sponsoring the grassroots football tournament aimed at uniting young talents across the district.
Ambassador Omagufi in a statement described the support of Engr. Pondi as a major boost to youth development and sports growth in Delta South, noting that the U-19 Unifier Cup has provided a platform for discovering and nurturing budding footballers.
The former Super Eagles Player emphasized that the tournament was designed not just as a competition, but as a strategic initiative to engage youths positively, steer them away from social vices, and promote unity among communities in the senatorial district.

The sports development aide further called on other well-meaning Deltans, corporate organizations, and stakeholders to key into the initiative, stressing that collective support is crucial to sustaining the competition and expanding its impact.
He maintained that investing in sports remains one of the most effective ways to engage young people productively while also creating opportunities for careers in football and other sporting activities.
Ambassador Omagufi also urged Engr. Pondi not to relent in his support for youth-focused programmes, expressing optimism that continued collaboration will further strengthen grassroots sports development in the region.
