Asante Kotoko SC head coach Prince Owusu has expressed confidence in his side’s attacking output as they gear up for a crucial Matchday 28 encounter against FC Samartex 1996 in the Ghana Premier League.

Speaking ahead of the fixture, Owusu pointed to Kotoko’s improved goal-scoring form this season as a key positive, while stressing that the team remains focused on further refinement in the final third.

“If you watch the league this season, the goal scoring, I think we’ve done a lot of them. We score a lot of goals and the boys are still working on it,” he said.

The Kotoko boss revealed that preparations for the Samartex clash have included targeted training sessions aimed at enhancing attacking efficiency and overall match readiness.

“We have some drills for them that will prepare them for the game ahead of us,” Owusu added.

Kotoko will be aiming to maintain their momentum against a Samartex side known for its organization and resilience, setting up what promises to be a competitive fixture. With the business end of the season approaching, every point carries significant weight, and Owusu will be counting on his forwards to deliver once again.

The Porcupine Warriors’ ability to convert chances could prove decisive as they look to strengthen their position in the league standings and keep pressure on their rivals.
