Inkoom Commends GFA, Sports Ministry Over World Cup Preparations

Former Ghana international Samuel Inkoom has praised the Ghana Football Association (GFA) and the Ministry of Sports and Recreation for what he describes as thorough and commendable preparations ahead of the FIFA World Cup.

The ex-Black Stars defender, who represented Ghana on the global stage at the 2010 FIFA World Cup, expressed satisfaction with the groundwork being laid for the upcoming tournament.

“The pre-tournament preparation by the GFA and the Sports Ministry has been great. The new addition to the technical team is a good one,” Inkoom said.

He emphasized that meticulous planning and adequate scouting are critical components of success at the highest level of international football.

“Football is all about preparation, and I am happy we are preparing well. If you’re going to the World Cup without properly monitoring your opponents, the tournament will be very difficult for you and you won’t enjoy the tournament,” he added.

Inkoom’s comments come at a time when expectations are steadily building among Ghanaian fans for a strong showing at the mundial. Drawing from his own experience of competing against the world’s elite, the former right-back underscored the importance of technical and tactical readiness, noting that success at such tournaments often hinges on the details handled long before kickoff.

His endorsement of the ongoing preparations is likely to reassure supporters who are eager to see the Black Stars mount a competitive campaign on football’s biggest stage.
