Former ASEC Mimosas and Ivory Coast national team defender Mamadou Doumbia has officially taken the reins of the Ivory Coast U23 national team.

A holder of the UEFA A License, the Ivorian coach will combine this new role with his current duties at OSGL, a club based in the Lyon region of France.

His debut on the Espoirs bench is imminent, with a prestigious first test scheduled in a few days against Morocco.

This friendly match will mark the start of a new era for the team, under the leadership of a former international who is well acquainted with the demands of top-level competition.
