Morocco has officially appointed Mohamed Ouahbi as the new head coach of the national team following the resignation of Walid Regragui.

The Moroccan Football Federation confirmed the decision on Wednesday, entrusting the former U20 World Cup–winning coach with the mission of leading the Atlas Lions into a new era. João Sacramento will serve as his assistant.

In a message shared on its official platforms, the Moroccan national team welcomed Ouahbi and wished him success in his new role. The 47-year-old technician now faces the challenge of maintaining Morocco’s strong international reputation while preparing the team for upcoming major competitions.
