Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has expressed both disappointment and renewed determination following Nigeria’s failure to clinch the Africa Cup of Nations title, insisting the team will channel the disappointment into motivation for future success.
Reflecting on the tournament, Okoye revealed he experienced the campaign from afar, sharing in the collective emotions of millions of Nigerians as the team fell short of expectations.
“I was watching from home as a supporter, like all the other Nigerians,” he said. “We deserved to win the Cup, but next year is already the next opportunity for us.”
