Victor Udoh case takes new turn after two arrests

Shock in the football world following the death of former Southampton player Victor Udoh on May 25 in Nigeria, just a day after he was seen at a public event.

Found dead at his home the following morning, his sudden passing immediately left his loved ones baffled.

The investigation took a major legal turn following the intervention of the deceased’s mother. At her request, Nigerian authorities arrested and took into custody the footballer’s partner as well as one of his close friends.

The family strongly suspects foul play and wants the full truth to come to light regarding the young man’s final hours.

For now, investigators are not ruling out any possibilities, but the possibility of food or alcohol poisoning is being seriously considered.

The autopsy results, expected shortly, should determine the exact cause of death and confirm whether these suspicions of poisoning are well-founded.
