Morocco coach Mohamed Ouahbi has officially unveiled the squad for the preliminary training camp ahead of the World Cup 2026. The Moroccan staff will organize this camp from May 22 to 26 at the Mohammed VI Football Complex as the Atlas Lions continue preparations for this summer’s tournament. Mohamed Ouahbi wants to evaluate several players before announcing the final World Cup squad on May 26, and he has notably called up Ayyoub Bouaddi after the midfielder chose to represent Morocco internationally.
The squad also includes Sofiane Boufal, Imran Louza, Othmane Maamma, Tawfik Bentayeb, Yassine Gessime, Abdelhamid Ait Boulaid, Samir El Mourabet, and Yassir Zabiry. Young goalkeepers Yanis Benchabou and Ibrahim Gomis will also take part in the camp, while Morocco plans to play a closed-door friendly match against Burundi during the preparation period. Mohamed Ouahbi could still make several changes before confirming the final squad for the World Cup 2026.
