Preparations for African women’s national teams are entering a key phase, with the June 1–9, 2026 FIFA window offering two final friendly matches.

This training camp will be decisive for the coaches as they finalize their rosters and fine-tune their tactical strategies.

The highlight of the season will kick off on July 25, 2026, with the start of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Through August 16, the continent’s top sixteen nations will compete to succeed the defending champions and vie for the African crown in a tournament that promises to be more competitive than ever.

Beyond the continental title, the stakes are global. This Africa Cup of Nations will serve as a qualifying tournament for the 2027 World Cup scheduled to take place in Brazil.

The four semifinalists will secure their direct tickets to the prestigious final tournament, thereby offering African women’s soccer an exceptional showcase on the South American stage.
