Head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Didi Dramani, has expressed disappointment following his side’s defeat to Bibiani GoldStars, admitting his team failed to make their chances count in a crucial Ghana Premier League encounter.
Speaking after the match, Dramani acknowledged the Phobians’ shortcomings in front of goal, stressing the need for greater efficiency as the title race intensifies.
“We are not happy with the result. We need to be more clinical,” the Hearts of Oak trainer said in his post-match remarks.
Hearts of Oak entered the fixture aiming to strengthen their position near the top of the league standings but were unable to capitalize on key moments during the game. Despite creating opportunities, the Accra-based side struggled with their finishing, ultimately paying the price against a determined GoldStars side.
The defeat leaves Hearts of Oak in third place on the league table, missing the chance to close the gap on the teams above them. Meanwhile, GoldStars’ victory keeps them firmly in second position and reduces the points gap between themselves and league leaders Medeama SC to just one point, further intensifying the race for the title.
Dramani emphasized that improvements in decision-making and composure in the final third will be crucial as the season progresses, with every point now carrying significant weight.
Hearts of Oak will now shift focus to their next fixture, hoping to bounce back quickly and maintain pressure on the top two as the Ghana Premier League campaign enters a decisive phase.
