It’s now official that Belgian coach Tom Saintfiet is stepping down as head coach of the Mali national team, the Eagles.
FEMAFOOT President Mahazou Cisset has formally sent a letter of thanks to the coach, marking the end of their collaboration.
This departure comes as the federation embarks on a new phase in the management of its flagship team.
Saintfiet’s tenure on the Malian bench ends with a record of 9 wins, 8 draws, and 3 losses.
Despite a solid defense and generally positive results, Malian soccer officials have chosen to turn the page to breathe new life into the Eagles.
