World Cup 2026 : England unveils bold squad with major absences

England coach Thomas Tuchel has officially revealed his 26-man squad for the World Cup 2026, and several major omissions have already triggered strong reactions across the country. Phil Foden, Cole Palmer, Harry Maguire, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Morgan Gibbs-White will all miss the tournament despite their status in English football.

Tuchel has instead trusted players who impressed him during the qualification campaign and recent international breaks, while Ivan Toney earned a recall after his excellent season with Al Ahli.
