Former Angola national team coach Pedro Gonçalves has officially filed a complaint with FIFA against the Angolan Football Federation (FAF).

The Portuguese coach claims that the federation has failed to honor its contractual obligations, asserting that the FAF still owes him payment for several clauses that have remained unpaid or ignored since the end of their collaboration.

According to sources close to the matter, this legal action is a last resort for the coach.

Despite several attempts at amicable mediation to resolve his situation, the FAF’s persistent silence and the lack of a resolution plan have prompted Gonçalves to seek arbitration from world soccer’s governing body.

This legal standoff is straining the relationship between the coach and a national team he has nevertheless led to significant results.

FIFA will now have to settle this financial dispute, while the Angolan Football Federation faces the threat of sanctions if the contractual breaches are confirmed by the judges in Zurich.
